NAACP Distinguished Service Award
The nominee should be an individual who gives time and energy to humanitarian efforts in the community through volunteerism and civic service. This person should make a positive difference in the community ensuring political, educational, social or economic equality.
NAACP Community Empowerment Award
The nominee should be a community organization, church or civic group that has strongly supported the well-being of the community by focusing on areas such as economic growth, education and/or political & social justice.
NAACP Business Empowerment Award
The nominee should be a business that has worked tirelessly for the wellbeing of the community focusing on economic growth, educational equality and/or political & social justice. The nominee should exhibit the principles and ideology of the NAACP.
NAACP Unsung Hero/Heroine Award
The nominee should be an individual whose actions to better the community have gone unrecognized. This individual should exhibit the social justice principles and ideology of the NAACP.
Honorees will be recognized at the 2019 Freedom Fund banquet on September 7, 2019.
